Cám ón Vietnam!
It's been no secret that Vietnam is a fabulous and super cheap holiday, and it has certainly lived up to expectations. So cám ón (thank you) Vietnam!
Halong Bay. Definitely in my top 5 beautiful places in the world. Weaving between 3000 mountain islands in a dragon boat feasting on tasty Vietnamese treats and sipping cool beers and very expensive Vietnam Dalat wine was Rachy Heaven! Sunset from the top deck was amazing and the rachy size cabins were just too cute.
Cloth shops in Hoi An. Having clothes tailored to fit you exactly is much more fun than buying off the shelf. Especially when you pay a fraction of the price. Now I just need to make sure that they stay tailored... the food is just a tad too tasty.
Nha Trang's manincured beaches. White sand, palm tress, blue water.... all the essential ingredients to seaside fun. Not as untouched as the natural beauty of Hoi An's beaches but I like them!
Motorbike? You want motorbike? Apart from not wanting to ever hear that word again, riding on the back of a motorbike is the only way to travel. Very fun and safer than walking, catching a bus or driving a car (usually on the wrong side of the road).
White Rose. Vietnamese food doesn't beat Indian but my insides are much happier. My favourite has to be White Rose, a specialty of Hoi An.... little wantons in the shape of a rose.
I won't miss the people that interrupt your brekky selling books, sunglasses, newspapers, lighters, and silk paintings.
Next stop.... Cambodia.
